March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Part of awareness is visibility and we at Balance strive for our participants and residents to be visible and active throughout the community.

This March we have three new partnerships with Grafton businesses that will help us continue to become more visible within this community!

  • March 10th Parent/Guardian Coffee will start a regular schedule. Meetings will now be at NSeven Coffee in Grafton at 9am on the second Thursday of each month. If you haven't joined us before, please start! March 10th we will have a guest speaker you won't want to miss.

  • We have a Dine to Donate event at Bamboo Bistro on March 24th all day with 10% of pre-tax sales being donated to Balance. Their food is delicious and we hope to grow our partnership.

  • Then on March 31 we have a Drink to Donate event at Sahale Ale Works from 4pm-close. Sahale will be donating $1 per pint to Balance.

The more businesses we can partner with for these small events, the more visible we are in the community and the more we are able to increase overall awareness of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

If you own a business in Ozaukee County and would like to partner with Balance for a future event, please email Lillian Short at lshort@balanceinc.org.
