Happy 13th Anniversary to House Coordinator Daniel Shepherd

“Oh Daniel Shepherd, where do we begin? Our lone brave gentleman! Our houses would be lost without you and the support you give our residents! From Culver's runs to fishing trips... from Wisconsin Dells to Green Bay, there is nothing Daniel wouldn't do for his residents! There is no denying the love and care that he gives to them each day. He goes above and beyond for all of Balance's residents and treats them as if they are his true family. Not only does he show this care to his residents, but with all of the AFH staff that he encounters. AFH staff have consistently expressed their appreciation for Daniel's presence in the homes and consideration of their (staff) needs as well. Thank you does not feel sufficient enough but truly, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for all of your hard work to enrich the lives of our residents!” - Director of Programs, Alyse Sandow, and Assistant Director of Programs, Shannon McCann.

“Daniel you are the best! The care and kindness you show others is an excellent example of how to treat others! The clients learn by example and you are the best. You have a connection to the clients that is rare and cherished by all. Know that you do not go unnoticed by parents and caregivers! You are simply the best!” - Lynn, mother of one of Balance’s Adult Family Home residents.

Thank you for your love for the residents and your tireless work to help them.” - Robin, sister-in-law of one of Balance’s Adult Family Home residents.

“The best of the best!

Starting a new career path at Balance was so nerve-wracking for me but I remember meeting Daniel and his calm presence and reassurance made me feel better when I first met him. It’s no wonder his relationships with residents is so strong. They gravitate to his calm demeanor. They respect him so much because they know that he loves them!

I love the passion that Daniel has when talking about ideas he has for the residents. The glimmer in his eyes speaks volumes for his excitement to make their lives better.

Thank you so much Daniel! Our team would be lost without you and words are not enough!” - Alyse, Balance’s Director of Programs.
