Physical Therapy Students from Concordia University Wisconsin volunteer at Balance

Balance and students from Concordia University Wisconsin have teamed up this semester to create a unique and fun volunteer opportunity for Physical Therapy Doctoral Candidates.

On Friday mornings Pace program will get a visit from Concordia PT students. The PT students will lead morning physical activities and then they will join in for other morning fun.

As future physical therapists, all of us have the goal of making a difference in a patient’s life. Partnering with Balance gives us that same opportunity. We are able to interact with all the participants and build different relationships with each person. Although we are not doing actual therapy, we are still given the opportunity to impact others’ lives in a positive way. - Ethan Schultz, CASPT (Concordia Association for Student Physical Therapists) Volunteer Coordinator.

Balance hope’s to host more student volunteers in the future and looks forward to seeing how this partnership might grow and involve more students who are working toward other degrees.
